Is the nikon z50 good for video?

The Z50 is a capable stills camera, but my site doesn't cover its video features in detail. I can't tell you its screen, microphone input or video specs from what I have, so check the full spec sheet before you buy.

It has no stabilisation in the body, so for handheld walking shots, choose a stabilised lens. For vlogging, the video guide recommends a wide view of around 16-20mm full-frame equivalent. On the Z50, that points to lenses like the Laowa 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 Zoom, which frames like 15-27mm, or the Nikon Z DX 12-28mm f/3.5-5.6 PZ VR, which frames like 18-42mm.

If video is your main job, I'd look at the Nikon ZR instead. It's built for it.
