You asked
Is the nikon z dx 24mm f 1 7 worth it?
Yes, if you shoot a Nikon Z APS-C body. On those it frames like a 36mm lens on full frame, a comfortable everyday view for street, travel and walking-around shooting. f/1.7 gives roughly the background blur of f/2.5 there, which is bright enough for dim cafés. It isn't stabilised, so keep an eye on shutter speed indoors.
Good pairings are the Nikon Z50 II, the Nikon Z30 if you want something lighter, or the Nikon Z fc if you like dials. It also fits full-frame bodies such as the Nikon Z6 II in crop mode, but I'd rather use those with full-frame lenses.
If you want a tighter view, look at the Nikon Z DX MC 35mm f/1.7, which also focuses close. For the sizing logic, see Sensor sizes.
