Is the nikon z 24 70mm f 2 8 s good for travel?

It's a good lens, but it's not my first pick for travel. At 24-70mm it covers wide to standard well, yet it stops short of the telephoto reach that a travel zoom like 24-105mm gives you. It also has no stabilisation, which matters for dim churches and interiors shot handheld.

If you're buying it for travel, I'd look at the Nikon Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S II first. It's lighter and focuses much quicker than the original. On an APS-C body like the Nikon Z50 II, the lens frames roughly like 36-105mm, which makes it a more useful travel setup. On full frame, the Nikon Z6 III is a strong body to pair it with.
