You asked
Is the nikon d7200 good in low light?
The D7200 is an APS-C camera, so it gathers less light than a full-frame body at the same settings. Sensor sizes puts full frame at roughly one stop ahead, so it won't match a full-frame camera at high ISO.
Lens speed makes up a lot of that gap. These are my picks for low light:
- Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art is the brightest option here, at a normal-ish framing.
- Nikon AF-S DX 35mm f/1.8G is a light, affordable way in.
- Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM Art if you want a zoom that stays bright.
The body has no stabilisation, so for handheld night shots, check each lens for it. Lenses explains why primes gather so much more light.
