Is the nikon af s 24mm f 1 8g ed good for vlogging?

Not really. The 24mm f/1.8G is a fine lens for many things, but it's a weak pick for vlogging. It isn't stabilised, and at arm's length a 24mm view crops you tight once stabilisation crops in further. On an APS-C Nikon it frames like 36mm, which is tighter still. My vlogging notes suggest something around 16-20mm full-frame equivalent.

If you already own this lens, it will still work, but you'll be holding the camera at a distance. For a wider view, look at the Nikon AF-S 14-24mm f/2.8G ED, which reaches wider than 24mm. Audio matters more than the lens, so budget for a microphone too. The video guide covers that.
