Is the nikon af s 24mm f 1 4g ed good for vlogging?

Not really, as far as I'm concerned. The Nikon AF-S 24mm f/1.4G ED frames at 24mm on full frame, and my vlogging notes suggest 16-20mm at arm's length. At 24mm you'll be cropped tight. On an APS-C Nikon it frames like 36mm, which is even tighter. The lens isn't stabilised either, and f/1.4 is wasted on a talking-head shot that's usually at a comfortable distance.

If you want this lens's look, it's a fine prime for portraits and b-roll. For talking to the camera, I'd look at the wider Nikon AF-S 16-35mm f/4G ED VR on a full-frame body, and spend some of the budget on a microphone.
