Is the nikon af s 24mm f 1 4g ed good for astrophotography?
I don't have an astrophotography guide on the site, so I can't tell you how this lens performs on the night sky. Its specs are a good starting point, though. At 24mm it frames a wide slice of sky, and f/1.4 lets in a lot of light, which is what you want for stars. It has no stabilisation, so expect to rely on a sturdy tripod and careful shutter speeds.
On full frame it fits the Nikon D750, Nikon D810 and Nikon D850, and the Nikon D780 if you want a newer body. For comparing other wide lenses, the lenses page is the place to start.
