Is the leica t typ 701 good for beginners?
The Leica T is a reasonable choice for a beginner who wants a simple, good-looking camera, but I'd test it before buying. It's an aluminium body run almost entirely by touchscreen, so if you prefer physical dials, you may find it fiddly. It also has no stabilisation in the body, so you'll want a stabilised lens for slow shutter speeds.
For a first kit, I'd start with the Leica Vario-Elmar-TL 18-56mm f/3.5-5.6 ASPH or the Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 DC DN Contemporary for everyday shooting. If you want a single prime to learn with, the Leica Summicron-TL 23mm f/2 ASPH is a good one.
Read the Leica T (Typ 701) page for the full spec sheet, and Your first camera for how to choose between models.
