You asked
Is the leica sl3 worth it?
The SL3 is worth it if you shoot low light, events, or portraits with shallow depth of field. Its 60-megapixel full frame sensor and in-body stabilisation suit studio work, landscapes, and heavy cropping. As the sensor guide puts it, for travel, street, or most hobby work, a good APS-C camera with good lenses will serve you better and be lighter to carry.
If you go with it, the L-Mount has a deep lens range. Good starting points:
- Panasonic Lumix S Pro 24-70mm f/2.8, a versatile everyday zoom
- Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG DN Art, for natural street and documentary work
- Leica Vario-Elmarit-SL 70-200mm f/2.8 ASPH, for portraits and sport
If you want a different balance, the SL3-S has 24 megapixels and 6K video.
