Is the leica q3 worth buying used?

The Leica Q3 is a fixed-lens compact with a 60-megapixel full frame sensor and a built-in 28mm f/1.7 lens, announced in 2023. That makes it fairly recent, so it's not the "one or two generations old" sweet spot I talk about in buying used. Used, it could still make sense if you want that 28mm look and the sensor resolution, but I can't tell you what a used one costs or what condition to expect, so check listings yourself.

Whatever you buy used, budget for a new genuine battery. Old ones lose capacity, as I note in the batteries section.

If you're weighing the Q3 against its siblings, the Leica Q3 43 swaps the 28mm for a 43mm lens, and the Leica Q3 Monochrom is black-and-white only. Start with the Leica Q3 page to see the full spec.
