Is the leica noctilux m 50mm f 1 sharp wide open?

The site doesn't have a sharpness test for the Leica Noctilux-M 50mm f/1, so I can't tell you how it looks wide open. What the page does give is its manual focus, its Leica M mount, and its production run from 1976 to 2008.

Two neighbouring lenses are covered. The Leica Noctilux-M 50mm f/0.95 ASPH is the fastest M lens here, and I'd call it heavy, with very thin focus wide open. The Leica Summilux-M 50mm f/1.4 is softer wide open than its ASPH version. For how aperture affects sharpness and blur in general, see aperture on the lenses page and aperture and background blur on the portraits page.
