Is the laowa 105mm f 2 stf sharp wide open?

I don't have sharpness test results for the Laowa 105mm f/2 STF, so I can't tell you how sharp it is wide open. What I can tell you is that it's a manual-focus prime for full frame, with an apodisation filter aimed at soft, smooth background blur rather than clinical detail. It fits a long list of Sony E, Canon EF, Nikon F and Pentax K bodies, and it's on its own page with the full camera list.

If your worry is focus at f/2, the portraits guide explains why a wide aperture leaves very little room for error: at f/2 the depth of field can be thinner than a face, so stopping down a little helps when you need more of the subject sharp.
