Is the fujifilm xc 15 45mm f 3 5 5 6 ois pz good for portraits?

This lens is a fine everyday kit zoom, but I wouldn't pick it for portraits. At f/3.5-5.6 it's slow, so backgrounds won't blur much and you'll need more light than a faster lens would need. On a Fujifilm X body it frames like 22-68mm on full frame, which works for environmental portraits with someone in their surroundings, but not for tighter headshots.

If portraits are your main job, a fast standard prime will serve you better. The Lenses guide recommends a 33-35mm f/1.4 to f/1.8 on APS-C for people and low light. The Portraits page is also worth reading, because light will do more for your pictures than any lens. Until then, a window and a small turn of your subject will get you a long way with this one.
