Is the fujifilm x100s good for travel?

The Fujifilm X100S can work well for travel if you're happy with one fixed focal length. Its built-in 23mm f/2 lens frames like 34mm on full frame, a classic all-round street and travel view. The pictures are the reason to buy it, and it's small enough to carry all day.

It has two real drawbacks for travel. There's no zoom, so you'll be walking to frame things. It also has no image stabilisation, which makes dim churches and interiors harder to shoot handheld. If you need either, look at an APS-C mirrorless with a travel zoom instead. My travel guide covers those options, and the X100S page has the full specs.
