Is the fujifilm x e3 good for wildlife?
The X-E3 can work for wildlife, but the camera is only part of the answer. Its APS-C sensor gives a 1.5x crop, so a 300mm lens frames like 450mm on full frame. The body has no stabilisation, so pick a lens that has it. For a first long lens, I'd look at:
- Fujifilm XF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR, which frames like 150-600mm on full frame
- Sigma 100-400mm f/5-6.3 DG DN OS Contemporary, a similar reach
- Tamron 150-500mm f/5-6.7 Di III VC VXD, for more reach
Wildlife is the hardest thing to shoot, so budget for reach. Buying used is a cheap way to try one.
