Is the canon mp e 65mm f 2 8 1 5x macro photo good for product photography?
For small products, this lens is a strong choice. It goes from life size up to five times life size, so you can fill the frame with a small object, a ring, or a component. It's manual focus and not stabilised, so you'll be focusing by moving the camera or the subject, and a tripod will help a lot. Product work usually lets you take that time, so the manual focus is less of a drawback than it would be for sports or kids.
It fits many bodies. For full frame, I'd look at the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV or the Canon EOS 6D Mark II. On APS-C, the Canon EOS 90D or the Canon EOS 80D are good options.
I don't have a dedicated product photography guide yet. For the basics of building a setup, see Your first camera.
