You asked
Is the canon eos r7 good in low light?
The EOS R7 is an APS-C camera, so it won't match a full-frame body in dim light. My site's sensor guide puts full frame at roughly one stop of advantage over APS-C, so the R7 is fine for casual low-light shooting but not its strength. Its in-body stabilisation helps when you're shooting handheld. For more on the trade-off, see what a bigger sensor buys you.
Lens choice matters more here. For dim scenes, I'd look at these from the R7 list:
- Canon RF 35mm f/1.8 Macro IS STM, a light, fast prime.
- Canon RF 50mm f/1.8 STM, cheap and bright.
- Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD, a fast zoom that covers a lot of ground.
If low light is your main subject, the Canon EOS R6 is the full-frame body I'd point you to.
