Is the canon eos r6 worth buying used?
Yes, I think the Canon EOS R6 is a good used buy. It has a 20.1-megapixel full frame sensor, in-body stabilisation, and it's excellent in low light. For most work, 20MP is plenty. A body that's a generation or two old is often most of the camera for a lot less money, which is why I'd look at used first. See buying used.
Check the battery before you pay. Old batteries lose capacity, so budget for a new genuine one.
For an everyday kit, I'd start with these:
- Canon RF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM for walking around and general shooting.
- Canon RF 50mm f/1.8 STM as a small, cheap lens for low light and portraits.
If you'd rather have the newer body, the Canon EOS R6 Mark III moves to 32.5MP. The used R6 is still a strong choice.
