Is the canon eos r1 good for beginners?
I can't tell you from this site whether the Canon EOS R1 suits beginners. Its page lists the specs: a 24.2-megapixel full frame sensor, in-body stabilisation, announced in 2024, and a huge range of Canon RF lenses. It doesn't cover price, size, or handling, so I won't call it a beginner camera or a bad one.
The first camera guide says that for a beginner, size, handling, and lens choice matter most. Hold one in a shop if you can. If you do go with the R1, the cheaper zooms it takes, like the Canon RF 24-50mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM and the Canon RF 24-105mm f/4-7.1 IS STM, are sensible places to start. For a sense of what full frame means, see the sensor sizes page.
