Is the canon ef 180mm f 3 5l macro usm good for video?

I haven't written a video review of this lens, so I can't say it's good for video. The lens page lists it as a 180mm macro at f/3.5 with autofocus and no stabilisation. On full frame that's a long, tight view, and on APS-C it frames like about 288mm. Handheld, the lack of stabilisation will show.

My video guide favours wide lenses for vlogging and puts sound ahead of almost everything else, so this one is a specialist pick. It could suit close-up shots of small subjects on a tripod.
