Is the 7artisans af 50mm f 1 8 good for video?

The site doesn't rate this lens for video, so I can't tell you how it performs on set. What I can tell you is that it's a 50mm f/1.8 prime with autofocus and no stabilisation. On full frame it frames as a standard 50mm. On APS-C it frames like 75mm, which is tight.

For vlogging, I'd pass on it. My video guide recommends a wide lens, around 16-20mm full-frame equivalent, because a 50mm view at arm's length is too narrow. It can still work for locked-off talking heads or interviews, where the framing is set and the lens is on a tripod. Whatever lens you choose, budget for sound first. The audio section explains why.
