Is the 7artisans af 18mm f 2 worth buying used?

Yes, I think it's a sensible one to buy used. Lenses hold their value well, and you're not paying for the newest tech. Buying used explains why the used market is one of the best ways to afford good gear.

The 7Artisans AF 18mm f/2 is a simple lens: an autofocus prime made for APS-C cameras, on Sony E mount. It isn't stabilised, so it works best in decent light. On an APS-C body like the Sony a6400, it frames roughly like 27mm on full frame, which makes it a handy everyday wide. On a full-frame Sony a7 III, it works in APS-C crop mode, so you give up some resolution.

Before you pay, check the seller's condition and make sure the autofocus works. Budget for a new genuine battery too.
