You asked
Canon eos 6d vs nikon d610?
The Canon EOS 6D and Nikon D610 are both full frame DSLRs, and both are cheap ways into full frame on the used market. The Canon EOS 6D is the older of the two, from 2012, with 20.2 megapixels and a Canon EF mount. The Nikon D610 came out in 2013 with 24.3 megapixels and a Nikon F mount. Neither has stabilisation in the body, so I'd pick stabilised lenses for slow shutter speeds.
If you want one everyday zoom, I'd go for the Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS II USM on the 6D or the Nikon AF-S 24-120mm f/4G ED VR on the D610. Both are stabilised and cover wide to short telephoto. For a cheap prime, the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM and the Nikon AF-S 50mm f/1.8G are the ones I'd buy first.
The short version: if you want a few more megapixels, the D610 has them. Otherwise, pick the mount whose lenses you can afford.
