Can I use adapted lenses on the sony a7?

I don't cover adapters on this site, so I can't tell you how adapted lenses behave on the Sony a7. What I can tell you is that the a7 uses the Sony E mount, and every lens on its catalogue page is listed for that mount.

If you want a native kit, I'd start with the Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM as a do-everything standard zoom. For wide landscapes, the Sony FE 16-35mm f/4 G is a sensible, lighter choice. Since the a7 has no in-body stabilisation, pick stabilised lenses, such as the Sony FE 70-200mm f/4 G OSS, if you'll shoot slow shutter speeds.
