Can I use adapted lenses on the nikon d850?
The site doesn't cover adapting lenses from other mounts, so I can't tell you how an adapted lens will behave on the Nikon D850. The D850 takes the Nikon F mount, and every lens on its page is listed for that mount, so those are the ones to look at first. They fit with no adapter at all.
For an everyday kit, I'd start with:
- The Nikon AF-S 24-70mm f/2.8E ED VR for general shooting.
- The Nikon AF-S 70-200mm f/2.8E FL ED VR for portraits and sport.
- The Nikon AF-S 50mm f/1.8G as a small, cheap prime.
If you're mostly shooting scenery, the Landscape guide explains what matters in a camera for that work.
