Can I use adapted lenses on the canon eos 5ds r?

The Canon EOS 5DS R uses the Canon EF mount, so any EF lens fits it directly with no adapter. The camera's full-frame sensor also means APS-C lenses work in crop mode, framing about 1.5 times tighter at fewer megapixels.

I don't cover lenses from other systems in detail here, so if you're thinking of adapting one, check the adapting section on the Canon EOS 5DS R page first. If you're shopping for this body, the EF lens list on that page is the best place to start, and the sensor sizes guide explains the crop factors.
