Can I adapt the canon ef 85mm f 1 4l is usm to canon rf?

The site doesn't cover this one. The Canon EF 85mm f/1.4L IS USM page lists only the Canon EF mount, and none of the cameras it fits are RF bodies. I can't confirm from my notes that it works on an RF camera through an adapter, so I won't guess.

The Lenses guide explains that mirrorless mounts are shallow, which makes adapting older manual-focus lenses easy. That's a different case, though, since this lens autofocuses and the adapter question depends on the adapter and the body. Check the adapter's own specs and the camera's compatibility notes before you buy.

If you want an 85mm for portraits, the portraits page covers the 85mm f/1.8 as the classic full-frame choice.
