Best telephoto lens for nikon f?

I don't have a Nikon F catalogue page on the site yet, so I can't honestly name a best telephoto for that mount. The lenses I can point to are listed for full-frame and APS-C cameras, and I haven't confirmed that any of them fit F mount, so I won't guess.

For a telephoto, the Lenses guide suggests 200mm and beyond for wildlife and sport, and 85-135mm for portraits and details.
