You asked
Best portrait lens for the sony fx2?
For portraits on the FX2, the lens matters far more than the body, so that's where I'd put your money. These three from the catalogue suit the job:
- Sony FE 50-150mm f/2 GM: fast at f/2 across the whole range, with room to frame a head and shoulders.
- Tamron 70-180mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2: a tighter, flattering telephoto look at f/2.8.
- Sony FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM OSS II: the heavyweight choice if you shoot a lot of portraits and want the most reach.
Whichever you pick, light will do more for the picture than any lens. A subject facing a window, or open shade, will beat an expensive setup in harsh midday sun. See Portraits for more on that.
