Best portrait lens for the leica m p typ 240?
For portraits on the M-P, I'd start with a 90mm. The Leica APO-Summicron-M 90mm f/2 ASPH is my sensible pick. f/2 gives you good subject separation, and it's a lens you won't outgrow. If you want more background blur, the Leica Summilux-M 90mm f/1.5 ASPH is the one to look at. For another 90mm to compare, the Voigtländer APO-Ultron 90mm f/2 is worth a look. If you'd rather have a little less compression, try the Leica APO-Summicron-M 75mm f/2 ASPH.
Whichever you choose, light will do more for the picture than the lens. Read portraits before you spend anything.
