Best portrait lens for the fujifilm x t30 ii?
For portraits on the X-T30 II, I'd aim for something around 50mm equivalent. On this APS-C body that means roughly 33mm, and the Fujifilm list has a few good options.
- Fujifilm XF 33mm f/1.4 R LM WR: 50mm equivalent and my pick for head-and-shoulders portraits.
- Sigma 30mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary: a touch wider, around 45mm equivalent, good when you want more of the surroundings in the frame.
- Fujifilm XF 50-140mm f/2.8 R LM OIS WR: if you like standing back, this zoom covers about 75-210mm equivalent at f/2.8 throughout.
Whichever you choose, the light matters more. A window, open shade, or the hour before sunset will do more for your portraits than any lens. The portraits guide has more on this, and the light section walks through it.
