Best portrait lens for nikon f?

For portraits, I'd start with the Nikon AF-S 85mm f/1.4G. It's a Nikon lens for full frame cameras and a classic portrait focal length, so it's the most obvious pick if you're on Nikon.

If you want something with more character, the Laowa 105mm f/2 STF has an apodisation filter for soft, smooth bokeh. The Voigtländer Portrait Heliar 75mm f/1.8 is another full frame option in a shorter focal length.
