Best first lens for micro four thirds?

Micro Four Thirds is a friendly place to start. One mount is shared by OM System, Olympus and Panasonic, so every lens fits every body, and the lenses stay small because the sensor is. The Micro Four Thirds page has the details.

I don't have a lens shortlist for this mount on the site, so I won't guess at names. The Lenses guide covers focal length, aperture and primes against zooms, and it finishes with a sensible first kit. If you tell me which camera you have or are thinking of buying, the gear catalogue shows what fits it.
