Best camera for the zeiss loxia 35mm f 2?
The Loxia 35mm f/2 is a full-frame lens, so I'd put it on a full-frame body. That way it frames as the 35mm it's marked as. On APS-C it behaves more like a 52mm, which is a different kind of lens. It's also manual focus only, so a body with good focus aids helps.
- Sony a7 IV for a sensible all-rounder.
- Sony a7R V if you want to push for detail in your landscapes and street shots.
- Sony FX3 if you're shooting video with the Loxia.
If you're mostly shooting stills, I'd start with the a7 IV. For the lens itself, see the Zeiss Loxia 35mm f/2 page, and for how sensor size changes the framing, see sensor sizes.
