Best camera for the leica summilux m 21mm f 1 4 asph?
The 21mm f/1.4 is a fast, wide, manual-focus lens for Leica M bodies. It's wider than the rangefinder's frame lines, so you'll need an external finder, live view or an EVF to see your composition.
My picks from the bodies it fits:
- Leica M11: my default. It's full frame, and it's the one I'd buy first.
- Leica M10-P: a full-frame body that pairs well with this lens if you already own one.
- Leica M Monochrom (Typ 246): if you only shoot black and white, this sensor keeps the focus on tone and light.
If you're not sure how a 21mm fits your shooting, my lens guide explains where wide primes earn their place.
