7artisans 50mm f 1 8 vs fujifilm xf 50mm f 2 r wr?

The 7Artisans is the faster lens: f/1.8 against f/2, and on APS-C both frame like a 75mm. The 7Artisans is manual focus only, and it comes in Sony E, Fujifilm X and Micro Four Thirds mounts. The Fujifilm XF 50mm f/2 R WR autofocuses and is weather-resistant, which matters if you shoot outdoors in bad weather.

If you want to nail focus on moving people and you shoot Fujifilm X, I'd get the Fujifilm. If you're happy to focus by hand, want the wider aperture, or shoot Sony E or Micro Four Thirds, the 7Artisans 50mm f/1.8 is the better buy. Either way, a 50mm is a great first prime for people. See portraits for why.
