7artisans 35mm f 0 95 vs laowa argus 25mm f 0 95 mft apo?

Both are fast, manual-focus primes, so the choice comes down to framing. On Micro Four Thirds they differ a lot. The Laowa Argus 25mm f/0.95 MFT APO frames like a 50mm on full frame, while the 7Artisans 35mm f/0.95 frames like a 70mm there. Both give about the depth of field of f/1.9 on that sensor.

For everyday street, food or general shooting, I'd grab the Laowa. For tighter portraits with a more compressed look, the 7Artisans is the better pick. It's also the more flexible lens, since it fits APS-C bodies from Sony, Fujifilm, Nikon and Canon as well as Micro Four Thirds. If you're just starting out, my portraits page explains why the longer view suits faces.
